Duties:     The volunteer will be assigned by New Dimensions Foreign Language School to teach conversational English in public and private Kindergartens (ages 3-5), through College (ages 18-22) and/or private tutoring, for a total of 100 hours per month.* Weekly class preparation is necessary. Occasionally you may be asked to speak at a promotional events or a new school. Friday night English Corner Bible study attendance required. Occasionally we have staff meetings and attendance is required. Teachers often divide up and share common duties such as breakfast preparation or Friday preparation for Sabbath. * Additional hours available.

Acceptable Dress: Semi-casual dress for teaching. Christian deportment dictates modest clothing at all times. Unacceptable Dress:  Since you represent NDFLS and the Chinese SDA church, teachers shouldn't wear shorts, immodest garments, jewelry, cosmetics, nail polish. No tattered or fade clothing. Use common sense.

Lodging:   We have an apartment for males and an another apartment for females. Each teacher will have a private bedroom in a shared apartment. Each bedroom has a bed, desk, and chair. The bathroom, living room and kitchen must be shared. Electrical current is 220V. The kitchen has refrigerator, stove, cooking utensils, and dishes. There is a washing machine. The apartment has WIFI.

Minimum Education Preferred:  Bachelors Concentration: Either a BA/BS with a major in Education or a BA/BS in any other field of study with a 150 hr. TESOL Certificate. A TESOL certificate can be earned online in 3-5 weeks and would cost you $150 USD. Trade/Skills: Any previous teaching experience would be greatly beneficial but not required.
