Duties:     Adventist World Radio’s (AWR) Center for Digital Evangelism (CDE) has openings for missionaries who will give the good news of salvation to people who live all over the world. Volunteers will help answer people’s Bible questions, pray with them, and give online Bible studies with the goal of connecting these people with a local SDA church. Additionally, they will do outreach in the community, help with local evangelism initiatives, and mentor church members in cell phone evangelism. The CDE also provides technical and spiritual support for cell phone evangelists worldwide (Training and resources are provided). We are looking for dedicated Seventh-day Adventists single young men or women ages 18-35 who want to invest 10-12 months serving the Lord through social media, prayer, answering questions, and support for cell phone evangelism. Begin and end dates are negotiable. Do you have a passion for computer programming and application development? Then you should sign up for this special call! • You will increase the efficiency of our work with small applications • You will develop and improve tools for Cell Phone Evangelism • You will integrate evangelistic webpages with the API of our CRM Experience and knowledge in backend or frontend development are needed. We prefer education in web application development and or programming. You can send us links of your work on GitHub or GitLab. This is the call for you if you are in the middle of technical studies or just finished them and would like to connect this with missionary work. Guidance and feedback will be regularly provided. The volunteer needs to be able to work in a team setting and on projects where they may be more independent with leadership oversight. Some work with social media requests or phone calls will also be a part of this position to be a part of the team and understand the type of people that are responding to advertisement, AWR radio, cell phone evangelism etc. Our main CDE is located in the Philippines on the campus of the SDA Division office close to the Adventist graduate school. Lodging is dormitory-style with a large kitchen for women and one for men.

Acceptable Dress: Men: dress slacks, either button down shirts, polo style shirts or national attire (barongs, etc) and shoes. A uniform shirt may be provided. Ladies - dresses, slacks, skirts, business casual. Due to culture, sleeveless cannot be word to work. Swim wear should be one piece. Sneakers, denim and t-shirts should not be worn to work. Everyone's dress should be neat and representative of a Christian standard. Unacceptable Dress:  Volunteers should at all times be covered from arms to the knees. Sneakers, denim and t-shirts should not be worn to work. No jewelry.

Lodging:   Dormitory style rooms in Division owned housing on campus. One room will be shared by two volunteers. There are two large common kitchen's (one for girls and one for guys), with refrigerator, stove, oven and some basic kitchen utensils.

Minimum Education Preferred:  1 Year College/Univ Concentration: Computer Science Major preferred. Alternatively, someone with great programming and app development skills although majoring in an unrelated field such as Theology, would be considered. Trade/Skills: Must have a passion to lead people to Jesus, be able to talk well on the phone, give/lead Bible studies since this will also be a part of the work. Experience and knowledge in backend or frontend development are needed. We prefer education in web application development and or programming.
