In an art gallery in London hangs a masterpiece entitled "Hope." The picture shows a girl seated upon a globe, blindfolded. In her hands she holds a lute with all its strings but one broken. Touching that one remaining string with her hand, the girl bends her head toward it, earnestly waiting to catch the sound. So it is with hope. After all of the other strings are broken, hope remains; and for the Christian this hope is not an idle dream.
